Eve Air Mobility has entered a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Aerosolutions and Bluenest by Globalvia to deliver up to 50 electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, along with access to Eve’s TechCare services.
Aerosolutions is developing an eVTOL airline dubbed “Aeros Electric Airlines,” while Bluenest (Globalvia’s AAM and vertiport arm) will be responsible for deploying the necessary infrastructure. The deal is seen as a foundational step toward establishing an Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) ecosystem in Costa Rica, especially in the Pacific northwest region.
The anticipated service will connect airports with eco-resorts across distances of 20 to 50 km, addressing traffic challenges and tapping into the country’s strong tourism demand.
Under the agreement, the parties will also collaborate on vertiport development, airspace integration, pilot training, and certification planning. Aerosolutions will utilize Eve’s TechCare solution, a comprehensive service suite meant to streamline eVTOL operations, maintenance, and customer support.
Eve’s CEO, Johann Bordais, emphasized that the partnership accelerates the rollout of safe, sustainable air mobility in Costa Rica and positions the country as a leader in ecotourism innovation.
Meanwhile, Globalvia’s vertiport expertise and existing presence in Costa Rican infrastructure (such as its operation of the Ruta 27 highway) are viewed as strategic advantages for integrating air and ground mobility.
